Cathy Mcilvaine

Sensei McIlvaine is a 2nd degree black belt and a Class A Certified Instructor. She began training in 1993, inspired by her son's training and the positive, encouraging environment of the Karate Institute. She has earned several accolades over the years, including Most Improved Student of the Year (1995), KI Spirit Award (1997), and Instructor of the Year (1999). Despite undergoing a bilateral knee replacement, multiple surgeries, as well as additional health concerns she continues to teach and practice at Munson Karate Institute. She remains deeply grateful for the impact karate has had on her life.
